NYC’s Stardust Diner May Be Closing For Good

The famous Stardust Diner located in the center of Manhattan’s Theater District, may have to close for good due to the impact of coronavirus, according to NBC New York.

With a line usually wrapped around the block, Ellen’s Stardust Diner has been a popular tourist spot on 51st and Broadway since 1987.

The wait staff at this theater loving spot delivers customers their meals with music and performance. However, the staff of the diner haven’t been working there since the COVID-19 pandemic took over NYC.

“It was just this growing sense of uncertainty and fear, really,” server Vince Fazzolari described. Another worker said she hasn’t heard from the diner in April.

Meantime, the staff has started a relief fund for coworkers who are struggling financially. The fundraiser has reached more than half of its $50,000 goal.
