Julian Edelman and Tom Brady have one of the longest-running and most powerful bromances in the NFL, and many have wondered what the wide receiver’s mindset will be this season now that Brady has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to one New England Patriots player, Edelman is as motivated as ever.
Despite speculation that Edelman may want the Patriots to trade him, one of the 34-year-old’s teammates told Michael Giardi of NFL Network that Edelman is already drawing motivation from “people thinking we’re no good and he’s just a product of Brady.”
Edelman loved catching passes from Brady, but he has also made it known on numerous occasions how much he loves playing for Bill Belichick. There have been reports that the Patriots have no intention of trading Edelman, so they are likely going to lean on him to be a leader and help second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham develop.
